I'd like to thank Clay for pointing me in the right direction. I'm extrememly grateful. Afer four days, I finally got it fixed. Thank you. He suggested the following:
Â
Site administration/Â â–¶Plugins/Â â–¶Message outputs/Â â–¶EmailNo-reply address
noreplyaddress .Â
noreplyaddress .Â
Â
Â
I did that, but I still had a little trouble. I had to do two more things. I had to make sure that I was using the the noreply address MOODLE was suggesting instead one of my own creation. Over the last few days I tried a few in the hopes of getting it to work, one of which was my own Yahoo address. That didn't work out well. I got a message from the Bluehost server with the following link that explained why: http://postmaster.yahoo.com/errors/postmaster-28.html
Â
The second thing I needed to do was add the no reply address to the Yahoo filter and point the e-mail to my inbox. The funny thing was that it wasn't showing up in my SPAM or trash, but pointing it to the inbox did the trick. I can now get the messages and password resets in my Yahoo box. I'll be sure to tell my students that too. I wish I had tried that tried that earlier.
Â
While playing around, I found out something very interesting. I found that I was only having this problem with Yahoo addresses. When I changed the sample student profile's email to a Hotmail address it all went through fine, messages and lost password notices.
Â
I'd like to thank everyone who has posted on this topic.  Together you helped me trouble shoot the problem. I hope my input will also be helpful.
Â
Best wishes,
Â
