Love the feature to allow moodle to generate new user password and email it to them. Was a long time coming when I check out the tracking history of it on GitHub.
Anyway, for our particular organisation I want to be able to set up our own default password in manual enrolments and have it emailed out to all students along with their usernames. This way all user passwords are initially the same. They are forced to change them upon first login.
Is there a way to do this?
The reason we want to go this way is that some students don't get the moodle generated password in their email as it is obviously trashed/junked because my college has not invested in SSH or SPF https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=262875 and it's a pain in the proverbial. There username is already their student number so we are trying to make the password common so can tell students how to access if they don't receive email. Be wonderful to get this working.
