LDAP sync users job

I am running Moodle 3.02.  I have set up the Authentication LDAP plugin and set a scheduled task to sync LDAP every minute.  On the "Scheduled Tasks" page, the "Next run" status keeps showing ASAP.  Is there something else that I need to do to make this sync with my Microsoft Active Directory?  Or how can I manually perform a sync from a command line to see if it gives any errors?
